Restore, refresh, repair.

A considered atelier service for wigs and hair pieces that need a deeper reset—whether the piece came from Sarah Afiovana or from elsewhere.

Work chosen after inspection.

Refresh

Piece-appropriate cleansing, conditioning, reshaping and restyling for synthetic or human-hair pieces.

Colour & finish

Tone, root, surface colour and cut can be reviewed where the fibre and previous processing make further work appropriate.

Repair

Re-ventilating, lace or base work and replacement of suitable components may be considered after the construction and damage are examined.

Not every piece can be restored to an as-new condition. The aim, limits and likely result are agreed before work begins.

The service is priced against the piece.

Synthetic refresh

From £60 for washing, restyling and reshaping.

Human-hair refresh

From £75 for washing, conditioning, a cut refresh and restyling.

Colour correction

From £25. Tone, root or lift work is priced against the piece.

Repairs

Quoted after inspection, including re-ventilating, base repair or lace replacement where suitable.

Return dispatch is targeted within five to seven working days of arrival once the scope is approved. More complex repairs may need a separately agreed schedule.

Documented from arrival to return.

1. Request a review

Share the type of piece, its history, the problem and photographs if helpful. Sarah will confirm how to bring it to the atelier.

2. Condition & quotation

Condition is recorded on arrival. The proposed service, limitations, quotation and estimated completion window are shared for approval.

3. Work & return

Approved work is completed and checked. Collection or return arrangements are confirmed directly; do not post a piece until these are agreed.

Tell the full story of the piece.

Previous colour, heat, adhesives, repair and cleaning products can affect what happens next. Share what you know—even if the work was done elsewhere.

Remove personal items

Unless agreed otherwise, remove clips, pins, scarves, boxes and accessories that are not part of the piece.

Flag sensitivities

Mention known fragrance or product sensitivities before the service is accepted so Sarah can explain whether the request can be accommodated.

Keep a wear alternative

The piece will be unavailable during the agreed work. If it is your only everyday option, discuss timing before handing it over.

A careful service begins with clear limits.

Do you accept synthetic and human-hair pieces?

Both may be considered, but the safe cleaning, heat and colour options are different. Acceptance follows inspection.

Can I send my piece immediately?

Please wait. Contact the atelier first and agree the handover or delivery method before sending anything.

Will the piece look new again?

Not necessarily. Age, fibre, base condition and previous processing limit what can be achieved. The intended result will be discussed before work begins.

How much will it cost and how long will it take?

Synthetic refreshes start at £60, human-hair refreshes at £75 and colour correction at £25. Repairs are quoted after inspection. Return dispatch is targeted within five to seven working days once the scope is approved.

What if more damage is found?

Sarah will pause and contact you if the agreed work needs to change. Additional work should not proceed without approval.

Request a valet review.

Describe the piece and what you would like restored. Sarah will explain the next practical step.
