CUSTOMER INFORMATION
The basis on which we work together.
About us
Sarah Afiovana Ltd trades as Sarah Afiovana Hair Couture. Company number 10718220. Registered office: 56 Overdale, Matlock, England, DE4 3ES. Atelier: 6–8 Bank Road, Matlock, Derbyshire, DE4 3AQ. Contact: info@afiovana.com.
Orders and contract formation
Website content and quotations invite an order; they are not themselves acceptance. A contract is formed when we provide written acceptance or otherwise clearly confirm that the agreed product or service will be supplied. We may decline an order before acceptance, including where availability, suitability, payment or specification cannot be confirmed.
Descriptions, colour and suitability
We take reasonable care with descriptions and images, but screen settings and photography can affect colour. A consultation and fitting reduce uncertainty but cannot make every product suitable for every scalp, pattern of hair loss or routine. Clinical symptoms should be assessed by an appropriate healthcare professional.
Prices and payment
Prices are stated in pounds sterling and include mandatory taxes where applicable. Optional additions are identified separately. The consultation is currently £120 for one hour at the Matlock atelier. A product or further service is quoted separately, and no deduction or redemption is promised unless confirmed in writing.
Payment timing and accepted methods are shown before the relevant order is agreed. Payment-card data is handled through the selected payment provider rather than stored in ordinary website forms.
Measurements, specifications and approvals
You are responsible for checking information and approvals supplied for an order. We will record the agreed foundation or cap, hair or fibre, colour, density, length, finish and personalisation where relevant. Changes after approval may affect price, timing or feasibility.
Ready-made, personalised and bespoke goods
Ready-made goods may be fitted and personalised. Bespoke and clearly personalised goods are produced or altered to an agreed specification and may have different cancellation rights. We will identify the route before commitment and explain material limitations.
Timing, delivery and collection
Lead times are estimates rather than unconditional guarantees. Current typical guidance is 10–14 days for ready-made pieces and 6–10 weeks for bespoke commissions after the specification is agreed. Delays outside reasonable control will be communicated. Delivery, collection, risk and any charge are confirmed for the individual order.
Fittings, alterations and aftercare
The agreed scope may include fitting, cut, colour, styling, care guidance or later maintenance. Work outside that scope is quoted separately. A piece made elsewhere may require inspection before any alteration, repair or service is accepted.
Cancellations, returns and refunds
Consumer cancellation and refund rights are described on the Delivery, Returns & Cancellations page and are not limited by these terms. Personalised or made-to-specification goods may fall within a statutory exception, while faulty or misdescribed goods remain protected.
Appointments
Paid consultations are booked and paid through the secure checkout on this website. The appointment time is confirmed personally after checkout. You may cancel or request one reschedule without charge by giving at least 48 hours’ notice. For a later cancellation or non-attendance, any deduction will be limited to the direct loss caused and reduced if the appointment can be rebooked. If Sarah cancels, you may choose another appointment or receive a full refund. If no suitable appointment time can be agreed after payment, you may request a full refund. Your statutory rights, including any applicable cooling-off rights, are not affected.
Complaints and responsibility
Please raise a concern promptly at info@afiovana.com so we can investigate and propose a proportionate response. Nothing in these terms excludes consumer rights or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law and changes
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, without removing any mandatory consumer protection or right to use the courts available to you. Material changes apply only to future contracts unless agreed otherwise.
A question before agreeing?
Ask for clarification before placing an order or approving a specification. Written confirmation should match what you understand.
